PSK - Adult Education Centre
PSK-Adult Education Centre is a private vocational training institute for adults. The Insitute is maintained by the Training Centre Foundation of Northern Finland. 51 founding members are:
- 46 municipalities and joint municipal boards
- University of Oulu
- KTV - trade union for the municipal sector and KVL - federation of municipal officers
- Postipankki (Post bank)
- Haapaveden Opisto (Haapavesi Folk High school)

Training centre concentrating on aspects of entrepreneurship 1990-1998
Vocational Adult Education Centre since 1.1.1999
Involved in business and administration sector since 15.7.2000
Degree programme for VQ in Business Information Technology started 1.1 2001
Apprenticeship Training Centre co-founded 1.1.2002
Involved in field of nature and environment sector since 1.1.2005
Training to meet the demands of working life
Basic vocational, further and specialist qualifications (competency based: 1-2 years). Additional and continuing vocational training - computer A and AB- level exams, team- and projectwork. Labour market -qualification/training. Apprenticeship training. Organisational development - quality projects. Local development, EU-projects.
